About Us
Shawnee Regional Prevention and Recovery Services (PARS) is a not-for-profit organization that is committed to helping make our community a place where people of all ages are safe, connected with others and free from the effects of substance abuse.
The mission of PARS is, "To enhance community wellness by providing prevention, intervention, education, counseling and referrals; and to assist in developing partnerships that empower individuals and communities to increase protective factors and reduce risk factors related to substance abuse and other unhealthy behaviors."
To achieve its mission, PARS provides assistance and support to individuals, families, schools, businesses and the community. The agency is divided into two programs, the Regional Prevention Center and Safe Streets.
